🤖 Field Robotics
Multi-axis control, sensor fusion, RTK GPS and LIDAR integration, and robust firmware for robots that operate outside the lab.
Overview
Multi-axis control, sensor fusion, RTK GPS and LIDAR integration, and robust firmware for robots that operate outside the lab.
Challenge
Field robots must coordinate many subsystems in real time and stay reliable when individual nodes fail — robustness and determinism are non-negotiable.
Approach
Where I've worked on this:
- Architected control and communication for the Bangladesh Army EOD ROV: custom RS-485 bus, real-time multi-axis control, RTK GPS, LIDAR, and a robotic arm
- 4 units delivered; deployed in UN operations and with the Peru Army
Results
Direction: formally robust, fault-tolerant control architectures for field robotics.
