Overview

Mass-production firmware for globally distributed Grozzi-brand thermal printers built on JL Technology RISC-V SoCs, with USB, Bluetooth, BLE, and Wi-Fi connectivity and ESC/POS + CPCL protocol support — developed in a CKD manufacturing environment at THT-Space Electrical (Nilphamari EPZ).

Challenge

Mass-production printer firmware is a different discipline from prototyping: it has to run across multiple printhead configurations, support several connectivity stacks at once, behave under variable manufacturing loads, and stay cost-effective in a CKD factory shipping globally.

Approach

Production firmware on RISC-V
